Sr UX Designer Role on contract at Abelson Taylor

I worked on many different projects with the UX team at Abelson Taylor. However, one project in particular will always be memorable for me. 

Abelson Taylor is a marketing agency that works with health and wellness brands. As a contracted Senior UX Designer, I joined a very talented team. My role was to complete the executional design work needed for a project and then to finalize the work with my UX Supervisor. Most of my time was spent creating or editing project architectures, wireframing prototypes, and writing annotated guides. I was responsible for following my assigned projects as they moved from the design phase through development and launch. Throughout the design and editing process, I was able to provide solutions for any potential UX or accessibility issues that would arise as these projects progressed.

Early on, I was assigned to work on the launch of a new pharmaceutical product made for treating depression. At the time, this product was being called “Product X”. Our team was responsible for creating patient and health care provider versions of the “Product X” website. To further support the product launch, we were asked to design an IVA, Interactive displays for use at trade shows, and an unbranded disease education website containing general information about living with depression.

This particular project was not without challenges. As a team, we were forced to pivot several times before the launch of “Product X”. As the project progressed through various stages of FDA approvals and reviews, our original timelines and plans required adjusting. Also, as we progressed in developing these projects, we were able to conduct user testing. Those tests provided feedback that informed our decision-making as we moved from our original designs into more developed iterations.
